LAU Campaign for Excellence Launch in Abu Dhabi

LAU President Joseph Jabbra, accompanied by senior management at LAU , embarked on a trip to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on May 14, 2009, for the ongoing worldwide campaign: “The Legacy and the Promise: LAU Campaign for Excellence.”
The event gathered 120 prominent guests and dignitaries and was held under the auspices of Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE. Nahyan and Jabbra delivered speeches, after which Jabbra presented a commemorative plaque of appreciation to Nahyan for his ongoing support for education in the UAE and for sponsoring the mini-launch.
The Abu Dhabi alumni chapter, led by its President Faysal Saab, presented their yearly contribution to their alma mater, a check in the amount of $110,000, in celebration of the launch.
